Daniel's first Passover

This is the first major holiday we've had since Daniel has been home. It was so wonderful to share Passover with him! Last night, we went to a seder at the Jewish Home where Eric's grandpa lives. We had the biggest table in the place. Afterward, one of the residents asked us, "Are you all part of the same family?" We said yes, and she said incredulously, "And you ALL came?" It's a testament to Grandpa that 12 members of his family wanted to come share Passover with him, when some of the other residents had nobody.

We thought Danny would get too fidgety part-way through, and expected to have to leave early. But he surprised us by doing GREAT! I plied him with matzo and milk, and he was a happy little camper. He must have liked the rabbi's voice, because he turned his head toward him and listened intently. And he had such fun playing with Grandma Jeanie, Aunt Stefanie, cousin Lauren, and the rest of the family!

Tonight, we had a small seder at our house with Jeanie and Bernie, and my Dad and Carol. We planned it thinking that Daniel wouldn't make it through last night's seder, so he actually got two! Eric did a wonderful job leading the seder, and it was so fun to have Danny open the door for Elijah and "find" the afikomen (with a little help from Mommy). We had such a nice time, I forgot to take any pictures! But here are some photos from the first night with Grandpa and the gang:
