Due to only being home a month and a half and still adjusting, we tried to keep the celebrations very small. Daniel is such a "normal" part of our lives, it's easy to forget he really hasn't been here long! Larry and Karen came down from Portland for a few hours on the Tuesday before D's birthday, to keep his actual birthday from becoming too crowded and overwhelming. Daniel had fun opening his first birthday present! Then on Friday night, Jeanie and Bernie had us over for a little celebratory dinner with Jeanie's sister Reba's family. On Sunday, the SoCal grandparents (Daniel and Carol, Jeanie and Bernie, Steve and Rho, and Great-Grandma Lillian) came over for about an hour and a half for cake and presents. As you can see from the attached pics, Daniel had a great time! He loved having everyone play with him. Reba's family came over later, as well as Jeanie's brother Erv and his wife Patty.
