OUT of PGN!!!!!

Finally, the news I've been dying to post: We are OUT of PGN! This is basically the Guatemalan Attorney General's office, who has to approve our adoption. We entered PGN in August; were kicked out after 10 weeks; took 3 weeks to get back in; and were back in 8 1/2 weeks until being approved today. Getting out of PGN signals the start of the end of the process. I'm telling you, I cried when Kerry from our agency called this afternoon with the good news. It's been a long time coming!

What's next? Daniel's birthmom needs to sign off for the 4th and final time. We have to get his amended birth certificate and passport with our last name, which is taking about 2 weeks currently. Then Daniel has to have a second DNA test to prove he's the same baby who had the first DNA test, which also takes about 2 weeks. Then, we're told what date we have to go to the U.S. Embassy for our "exit interview" and to pick up Danny's visa, and then bring him home. Based on other people's recent timelines, we estimate we'll be bringing Daniel home at the end of February. We can't wait to have him home!!!
